I have been teaching preschool for six years, and LOVE it. I honestly love what I do. I have to admit the kids become like my own. Each class is so different from the other. Yet each year the same thing happens, I fall in love!
Some of my favorite things are the stories they tell. I hear all the good stuff! Some of my favorite over the years have been...
"My mom was crying in the closet because she was mad at me".
"I asked my mommy if you could have a sleep over and her said no".
"You are the BEST Teacher ever, my last teacher was mean and her yelled"
"I liked my old school better because that Teacher let me say the word can't in school"
"Teacher, is Rich your dad"
"Teacher, I love you"
"Teacher, I will let you come to Disney Land with me, but you will have to hide because my mom said No"
"Thank you for making me smart"
" Sometimes my dad picks his nose, and I told him you said we better not do that, and he said dads can because they roll it, and then flick it" EW!
I could go on and on. I have been invited to birthday parties, play dates, sleepovers, latenights, and more! (by the kiddos) I have also been told secrets about moms, dads, grandparents, siblings, etc.. (just silly secrets) I have one little girl that during dress-up she asks to brush my hair so I can listen to her stories.
We keep busy in the few hours I have them, and it is exciting to watch them grow and progress. I love to watch them interact with eachother. I have been blessed with wonderful, supportive preschool parents and would like to say THANK YOU to ALL of them over the past six years. Trusting someone with your greatest blessings can be very HARD- Thank you for trusting me!
